Ingredients of Tofu Teriyaki
- It’s 1 medium of Tofu.
- Prepare 1 clove of garlic.
- It’s 1/2 clove of white onion.
- It’s 1 tsp of butter/margarine.
- Prepare 1 of Instant Teriyaki Sauce.
- Prepare 1/2 liter of Oil to fry.
- You need 1 pinch of salt.
- You need 1 pinch of pepper.
- It’s 1/4 cup of water.
Tofu Teriyaki step by step
- Cut tofu into any shape you like, in my recipe i did a round cut of it..
- cut the garlic into small pieces and cut the white onion into any size you prefer..
- preheat the frying pan and the oil, and once its done, fry your tofu for around ten minutes and take it out till all the oils dry from the tofu.
- preheat another pan with butter and start cooking the onions and garlic until it gets yellow-browny looking or just smell it. then, put the instant teriyaki sauce with water, and keep the fire small.
- pour the fried tofu into the saucy pan and leave it there for at least 10 mins, you dont wanna ruin the soft, creamy texture of the tofu.
- put it in the serving plate or bowl, and add a bit touch of japanese by putting chopstick on it. pretty sure kids would like it.
